Artist's Comments

Do you know how long this took me? First time I've ever finished colouring a picture in my new program (Pixia). Thank you SO MUCH to Fire of the Royai Forum for telling me how to layer so I can keep my original image and still colour, and also thanks to Ren for showing me where to get Pixia in the first place XD

This took about four hours. Count them. FOUR. I'm not used to things taking that long. It's my first piece, so since I know how to use it now, hopefully things won't take quite so long.

It's a coloured version of [link] and is an illustration for the prologue of "Some Simple Soccer-like Slides" (by me) which can be found here: [link]

aww, poor Riza.... (eww. pregnancy. *sigh*) anyway, nice coloration, it gives the whole thing a new look than the black and white one. i didn't expect it to be at night.

the shading on the dress is really good--it gets the wrinkles right. i can't help but think she look really, really HUGE though. i mean, even for being pregnant. but the expression on her face is suitably...uhm, (agonized isn't exactly the right word...)
grim. ^ ^

guess i should read the story, huh? ^ ^

Yeah, it's at night. She wakes up, goes downstairs, and her water breaks (which is why she doesn't really look happy ~_~).

She's actually not all that big. I mean, her water's broken, so she' at nine months :P You have to expect them to be big at that point. Yaya, you should read the story :D

I love the shading! I'm glad you colored it, great job.

Yay! I guessed what the picture would be even before the page loaded! ^_^ Like everyone else, I think the colored one looks even better than the uncolored (which is still pretty good, I'd say).

Heheh, you should make a picture of Roy's face when he uncovers a certain "misteree" :giggle:

We both have the same issues - long stories! Hey, that's because we're practicing for later when we're real authors writing real stories instead of just little ficlets, right? ;)

Thank you for reviewing! Now I have a bunch of emails to get through, but I'm sure your reviews are amongst those, so I'll go look XD

And it's all thanks to you, otherwise I wouldn't know how to have done it XD As soon as I got your reply I sat down and started working on it and didn't stop until it was done, I was so excited about it :3
